A 19-yr-old, Lovemore Mlambo has been arrested by Police in Zimbabwe for allegedly raping a 79-yr-old woman, Sithole to death after leaving his cellph one at the crime scene.
A Police spokesman said the teenager and his patner, Josiah Simango, 30, both went to the home of the elderly woman to rob her.
However, when the 30-year-old man knocked on the door, Sithole opened and he pushed her into the house before going inside. Sithole fell to the floor.
Simango proceeded to kick her. The teenager then decided to rape the woman while Simango acted as a lookout.
The teenager raped the woman, but fled the home after realizing that she was bleeding profusely. The men left the woman bleeding to death.
However, police tracked them down after Simango accidentally grabbed the victim’s phone instead of his own.
The two men were arrested and charged in the rape and murder of Sithole.
