Nigerian striker Osaze Odemwingie is targeting ten goals in the new season for Stoke City.
Odemwingie, who came off the substitute’s bench to score his first goal since recovering from a lengthy injury, as he scored against Koln in a friendly on Saturday, says he hopes to start more game in the coming season despite the new arrivals at the club.
The Potters have snapped up Ibrahim Afellay, Joselu, Marco van Ginkel, Jacob Haugaard and Phillip Wollscheid but the 33-year-old is highly revved up for the new season.

“My first target was to not miss any training during pre season, which I’ve done so far, and hopefully that will stay that way,” Odemwingie told the Stoke Sentinel.
“I hope to start many games and get to double figures for goals. I look at 10 Premier League goals this season, I think it’s achievable.
“I’m motivated and have a good feeling about the year and can’t wait for the season.”
The Super Eagles star is hopeful his injury misfortunes are behind him.
“Yes, hopefully I can get 90 minutes,” he added.
“I feel much better physically, but need to keep going and working hard.
“I’ve had three games so far… 60 minutes, 80 and 45, which is what I need.
“The knee is getting much better and I’m feeling more comfortable. It’s nine months now and still a few months away from being 100 per cent, but I’m happy where I am.
“There’s no short cuts. You have to make those efforts off the ball as well, which I’m trying to do, to get me back to my best physical condition and hopefully we can continue without any injuries.”
