"Shayo na Bastard" Man dies after consuming 'paraga'

Regardless of the ban on the consumption of illegal gin popularly known by various local names like 'ogogoro', 'kaikai' and 'paraga', by NAFDAC, has not stopped some addicts of the locally brewed liquor from consuming them.

Such was the plight of an unknown man who reportedly slumped and died after drinking a huge amount of 'paraga'.
The dead body of the was discovered at Alaba, along the Lagos-Badagry Expressway, in the state.
According to witnesses, the deceased was said to have been staggering home after leaving a drinking joint and reportedly fell and hit his head on the pavement.
An eyewitness said the dying man made attempts to call for help by repeatedly lifting his right hand, but that no one made any effort to assist him till he gave up the ghost.
The incident, according to another witness, caused pandemonium in the area as operators of several joints in the area as well as hawkers hurriedly closed shop for the day for fear of being arrested in connection with the tragedy.
Policemen from the Orile Division later arrive the scene and evacuated the body of the man.
