Rare Cars: The Only Roofless Gallardo Lamborghini Concept S In The World Is About To Go On Auction, And It Will Sell For Millions (Photos/Video)

One of the rarest cars in the world is about to go to auction and is expected to sell between $2.4 and $3 million. Lamborghini is among a few luxury a sport car makers that is leading the way of the future of automotive travel. They are always testing state of the art systems that employ alternative power and new techniques that pave the way for new tech. They are literally creating the future of cars right in front of us!

So what is so special about this multi-million dollar car?

The roofless Gallardo Concept S was designed by Luc Donckerwolke in 2005, and this first model wasn’t made to be street legal. The prototype got so much hype that a second one was developed which was fully functional with a v10 engine. There were originally plans to make one-hundred of these cars made, but the cost to produce them was too high, and only one was made! This car is headed to the auction on November 18th, 2015. The auction is being held by RM Sotheby’s, the world’s “foremost collector car auctioneer,” which is fitting for this one-of-a-kind car. It debuted at the 2006 Concorso Italiano and blew minds all over the world.

It has a split interior with seating for two with a unique “pair of low-profile wind deflectors instead of a single-frame windshield.” It has an intricate body with a very compact, sleek design.

This incredible car had been on display at the Lamborghini Museum in Sant’Agata, Italy, pretty much since that debut and only has 111 miles on it,* most of which were racked up during testing at the Concours d’Elegance in Pebble Beach, California. The Concurs is a competition with several locations where drivers pretty much parade their gorgeous and expensive cars around a race way.
