Ighalo Demands Better Deal From Watford
Nigerian forward Odion Ighalo wants to be rewarded for his efforts of last season with Watford, completesportsnigeria.com can report.
Ighalo, who is in talks about improving his current deal despite offers from Chinese second division side Hebei China Fortune, said his admiration for the Hornets fans was a major factor for him turning down the lucrative offer from Asia.
“I love the fans and turning down the money shows that I want to work hard for Watford, but they have to get me an improved contract and reward me for what I did last season,” the Supet Eagles striker was quoted on Sky Sports on Monday.
It is understood that two other Premier League clubs are interested in the striker – who scored 20 league goals in 35 appearances – but no bids have been made.
The NIgerian international has scored one goal in three games for the Super Eagles.
