The man has not been named but is from the neighbouring region Arkhangelsk region.

A criminal case has been opened under an article of the Russian criminal code on desecration of the dead and their burial places.

The maximum punishment under the law would be three months in prison, or a fine of up to £400.

It is the second case of a sexual attack on a dead woman in the north of Russia this year.

This first was in the Komi Republic when two men were jailed for raping the body of a young woman in February.

48-year-old Phillip Donald Jason of Sunshine Coast, was distraught and upset to learn that the man he raped is carrying HIV.

According to the police investigation, Jason’s first sexual encounter with the other man was consensual, but he later crossed the line and was charged with rape.

The victim asked him to stop, but he did not. After his arrest, Jason was told that the victim is HIV positive. Jason underwent six months of medical tests.

He did not contract HIV. Jason pleaded guilty to rape, robbery and assault. Jason was sentenced to serve two and a half years in prison.

A teen girl escaped from her home to a nearby church after being raped and sexually harassed by her own father, police said.

Lagos State police said that they have arrested 48-year-old Adeboye Waheed, after being accused of raping his 14-year-old daughter twice.

The girl who lived with her father, stepmother and four siblings, ran away from home as she could no longer suffer abuse from her father.

The girl told investigators that her father began touching her private parts when she was 12 years old. The girl was sleeping on the floor of her bedroom one night, when her father entered.

He asked her if she ever had sex, and she said “no.” The father then proceeded to have sex with his daughter, telling her that he wanted to check if she was still a virgin.

Several weeks later, he raped his daughter again. The following day, the girl packed her belongings and fled from the home. The father apologized for his actions.

Waheed was arrested and charged with rape.

UNILAG Disowns Lecturer who Raped Admission Seeker

Authorities of the University of Lagos on Sunday have disowned the randy lecturer, Dr. Akin Baruwa, who allegedly raped an 18-year-old admission seeker.

Baruwa allegedly raped the young girl (name withheld), who is seeking admission to the university, in his office on July 23, 2015.

The lecturer, currently in detention at the Kirikiri Prison, was arraigned before an Ikeja Magistrate’s Court, Lagos, on Thursday.

But speaking with PUNCH on Sunday, the Head, Information Unit of the university, Mr. Olagoke Oke, said Baruwa was not an employee of the institution.

According to him, no such name exists on the university’s employee list whether teaching or non-
teaching.

He added:

“The said Dr. Baruwa is a not a member of staff of the university, whether teaching or non-teaching. He also does not belong to the part-time or full-time teaching staff of the school. His name is not on the master list of workers of the university. I have checked the staff list using his full name and initials and could not come up with any such name as of Friday, August 6, 2015.
I have also checked the list of office accommodation given to members of staff of the university and his name is not there. There is no office allocation attached to such a name. How he reportedly entered the said office where the crime took place is what we are looking into as an institution.
While we sympathise with the alleged victim, we are ready to cooperate with every agency of government to get to the root of the matter as soon as possible. As an institution, we do not support any act of violence, not even against women. Therefore, we will help to ensure that the case comes to a logical conclusion.”

Meanwhile, as the authorities disowned the lecturer, some students, in the Faculty of Business Administration, who craved anonymity for fear of victimisation, claimed that the suspect was a part-time lecturer of the accounting department of the university.

One of them said:

“I know him as a part-time lecturer in the accounting department. I wonder what the university wants to achieve now by trying to disown him.”

The Dean of the Faculty of Business Administration, Prof. Rasheed Ojikutu, could not be reached as of 6pm on Sunday.

Baruwa, who the police in Lagos arrested on August 3, reportedly confessed to the act but claimed that the sex was by mutual consent.

Man Blindfolds His 5-yr-old Daughter For Another Man To Rape

A man in the United Kingdom was found guilty of raping his 5-year-old daughter and sharing
her with another man.

The incident occurred 40 years ago, the Canterbury Crown Court heard. The victim, who is now a middle-aged woman, finally had the courage to report the horrific abuse.

According to court documents, the father of Kent, who is now 83 years old, said that the girl offered to play “Blind Man’s Bluff,” a kids game in which children are blindfolded.

The jury was told how the father offered his daughter to a delivery man who brought coal to him, and the man accepted the offer.

The father blindfolded his daughter, but rather than playing with her, the delivery driver raped her. The father then threatened his daughter not to tell anyone about the rape.

The father, who cannot be named for legal reasons, denied the charges, but was convicted by a jury. He will be sentenced at a later date.

Woman jumps from 3rd floor to escape rapist

An Asian woman died after jumping down from the third floor in Nayef Street in Dubai to escape four men who had locked her up for some days and took turns in raping her.

Instead of reporting the incident, the building’s Asian watchman carried the body back into the apartment and waited for the rapists to flee to nearby Oman before informing the police.

The trick did not work for the accused as Dubai Police unraveled the mystery of the woman’s death, seized the rapists as they tried to cross into Oman and arrested the watchman for complicity in the crime.

Police said the watchman reported the incident a few days later and that they suspected his statements when he told them that there might be a problem in the locked apartment.

Forensic examination showed that the woman had died of severe head bleeding, and fractures in the limbs and ribs.

“When pressed during interrogation, the watchman confessed and revealed all details of the crime.

“He said that the culprits had asked him to help them after the woman jumped down.

“They then carried the body back to the apartment and asked the watchman to inform police only after they flee the country,” said Major-General Khalil Al Mansouri, Assistant Police Commander in Chief, Criminal Investigation.

“After coordinating with authorities in Oman, we succeeded in arresting the culprits and bringing them back to the country.

“We found that the main culprit was staying in the UAE illegally. He met that woman who moved in with him before he started to force her to indulge in vice and beating her up.

“He also locked her up in the apartment for many days before she tried to escape by jumping down.”

Lecturer Rapes 18-yr-old Admission Seeker In Unilag

The police in Lagos State have arrested a part-time lecturer, Afeez Baruwa, for allegedly raping an 18-year-old girl, identified as Caroline (pseudonym) in the Yaba area.

It was learnt that the victim, who was reportedly raped inside a study room, was seeking admission into the University of Lagos, Akoka.

It was gathered that Baruwa was arrested by the Surulere Police Division on Monday, August 3. However, he told the police in his statement that the sexual intercourse was by mutual consent,
insisting that he did not rape the victim.

The lecturer and Caroline’s father belonged to the same landlords’ association in the Abesan, Ipaja area.

It was gathered that the victim’s father had allowed her daughter to follow the lecturer on July 23, to UNILAG for an admission process. Baruwa allegedly took the girl inside one of the study halls, bolted the door, and raped her.

After the incident, Caroline, who told her parents about the rape, was taken to a non-governmental organisation, Mirabel Centre, where she was tested. The medical result reportedly confirmed that the teenager was violated.

She was thereafter taken to the Lagos State Office of the Public Defender, and the matter was also reported at the police station. Baruwa was subsequently arrested.

A police source in Surulere said,:

“The suspect is actually a friend of the father of the girl. The girl had written the Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination, and she needed assistance with the post-UTME.
“So, the father sent her to meet and discuss with the lecturer.
But, it turned out that on July 23 when the girl visited the suspect, he raped the girl in the study room. The suspect confessed to the act, but his claim is that the sex was by mutual consent.”

The Director of the Office of the Public Defender, Mrs. Omotola Rotimi, said the OPD would write a letter to the UNILAG Vice-Chancellor on the incident, so as to ensure that such did not reoccur.

She said:

“The victim’s father wanted the lecturer to assist with his daughter’s admission. On the fateful day, the girl left with the lecturer as early as 5.30am, and they got to the school at about 7am.
No one had arrived at the hall except a woman. While the exams had yet to start, he raped her. She went home, and the father found out that her daughter had been raped. He took her to the Mirabel Centre, which then informed the OPD. The centre also contacted the police at the Surulere and Isokoko divisions, and the suspect was arrested.
We are going to defend the girl, and we are writing the VC. The suspect is said to be in the Department of Accounting. He claimed the sex was consensual, but that is not a defence.”

Baruwa, who was in custody, would be charged to court on Thursday (today).

The Lagos State Police Public Relations Officer, DSP Patricia Amadin, confirmed the arrest. She said:

“The suspect claims to be a part-time lecturer, but not an employee of the University of Lagos. He has confessed to the crime and the medical result proved same.”

45 yr old Man Offers Parents #25,000 After Raping 8 yr old Girl

An eight-year-old girl has narrated how she was allegedly raped by their 48-year-old neighbour, Mr. Peter Christopher, one afternoon in the building her family shared with another tenant.

The girl, Blessing (not real name), explained to Saturday PUNCH that on Thursday, June 18, 2015, she was about to enter her parent’s apartment when, Christopher, a carpenter, whose lives just two doors away from their apartment, dragged her into his room, locked the door and defiled her.

Saturday PUNCH had been informed about the girl’s case by a human rights activist, who felt concerned about the pressure being put on the her family to drop the case. But when our correspondent tracked down the girl’s family, they were reluctant to share the story as they said they did not want to be seen as “being disobedient to pastors and elders who asked us to leave the matter to God.”

Blessing was a jovial girl, she smiled a lot. But when it was time to tell the story of what she went through. Her face creased into a frown as tears streamed down her face.

Her elder sister urged her on to tell everything that happened.

Blessing said, “His (Christopher’s) wife had gone for a wedding programme that day. He was alone in the house.

“I was playing outside before but as I came in and was about to open our door, he moved near me and dragged me by hand into their room.

“He locked the door and pulled down my panties. He then put his ‘thing’ inside me. That was the only time he did it.”

Blessing’s mother explained how she found out able the defilement of her daughter.

She said, “I did not know anything until the night when she told me that her private part was hurting her. I did not suspect anything and she did not tell me anything.

“I rubbed Vaseline on her to ease the pain but the following day when I wanted to bathe her, I realised that she was bleeding. I then suspected that somebody had been touching my daughter.

“As soon as I asked who had been touching her, she told me that it was our neighbour. He is even older than my husband!”

Christopher has a daughter of his own, who is in the same age group as Blessing.

He was arrested and detained at the Agbado Police Division, while the girl was taken for test and treatment.

While Christopher was in detention, he continued to deny that he ever touched the girl. But Blessing said he had no reason to lie while her parents said they believed their daughter.

However, after the pressure of numerous pleas from pastors and landlords in the area became too much, the girl’s parents were forced to write a letter to withdraw their case.

In order to douse the tension generated on the case, their landlady also signed an undertaken on Christopher’s behalf, and agreed to pay the sum of N25,000 in five instalments to Blessing’s parents.

“I just don’t know what that money is for because I have refused to take it. Is it for my daughter’s treatment or compensation? If it is for treatment, what I spent on her treatment, tests and drugs is even more than that,” the girl’s 41-year-old father said.

Our correspondent went in search of Christopher on Wednesday to get his side of the story. The fair complexioned man courteously offered our correspondent a chair but his attitude changed instantly when asked if he indeed raped the girl.

He demanded to know who notified our correspondent about the case. But when asked how that affected the allegations brought against, he refused to say anything further.

“If you cannot tell me the name of the person who made the allegations against me, I cannot say anything further,” he said.

39-Yr-Old Man Says Witches Pushed Him To Rape 9-year-old Girl

A 39-year-old father of 3, Ekpeyong Essien, who raped a 9 year old girl blamed his 2 sons, whom he alleged are witches, for pushing him to commit the crime.

Essien, who hails from Bakassi Local Government Area of Cross River State, had on July 12, raped 9 year old Bright Benjamin, at Hawkins Primary School in the Calabar South area of the state capital.

He said the girl had approached him for money to pay her fares home, but he simply instructed her to follow him to a nearby primary school where he defiled her with his fingers.

Essien said his life became useless after his two sons were bewitched by one of his neighbours.
Essien is currently in the custody of the Criminal Investigation Department of the Cross River State Police Command at Diamond Hill in Calabar and would soon be charged to court.

Narrating how he defiled the little girl, he said:
“It was the handiwork of witches. Someone bewitched my children and my children in turn used what they have been given to affect my life negatively. The person who bewitched my children lives in our compound. What my children are doing with the witchcraft is to ensure that I become useless in life.
“When I saw the girl, I called her and she followed me. I touched her a little before she followed me to Hawkins Primary School area in Calabar South. The place is close to the Hawkins cemetery and when I saw her, she was actually behind some group of persons that were going to the cemetery to bury someone.
“She wanted me to give her transport fare back to her home. That was how I lured her with a promise to give her money. I have grown up children older than her. I do not know how she got attracted to me at that moment because I believe I was under the spell of my children’s devilish practice.
“When I took her to one side of the school, I started romancing her. I did not force her to follow me, she did willingly. It was raining at that time. I had not seen her before. I only saw her on that day. I only fiddled with her private part, we had not really started making love before one security man in the school raised the alarm and I was caught.”
He said he was a footballer with a local team before his children made him become useless.
He said:
“I used to play football in one of the local clubs but my children stopped me through their devilish practice. I am not the only one that is accusing my children of practising witchcraft; other tenants in the compound also know,”.
Essien, who regretted his action, is pleading with the parents of the girl to forgive him.
“I wish I could see the girl’s father to beg him. I am willing to pay any amount that they have spent on her in the hospital. I am really regretting my action because I have never had a criminal record before,” he said.
The state Police Public Relations Officer, Mr. Hogan Bassey, said the medical report after the incident showed that the girl had been defiled.
He said,
“Because the suspect tried to penetrate and could not succeed, he used his fingers to defile her and based on the medical report, the girl has been defiled. The report showed bruises all over her vagina.
“He actually heard the footsteps of someone coming and he ran away. The security man raised the alarm and he was caught. He is still under investigation and will soon be charged to court as soon as that is completed.”

35-yr-old Teacher Sentenced To 7 Years In Jail For Raping Pupil

A primary school teacher in Ado Ekiti, the capital of Ekiti State, Kareem Akinyemi, is to spend the next seven years in prison after he was sentenced by an High Court for allegedly raping his nine-year-old pupil.

Handing down the sentence, presiding Judge, Olayemi Abodunde, noted that the prosecution had proven its case that Akinyemi actually defiled the girl after drugging her with a substance he put in a drink he gave her.

The State Counsel, Oyin Olatunbosun, had earlier told the court that the accused committed the offence at his residence at No. 45, Surulere Street, Ise-Ekiti.

Olatunbosun said that the accused, on the said date, unlawfully raped the nine-year-old girl, when her mother sent her to buy milk for her.

She said that the accused was a teacher at St. Stephen Primary School, Ise-Ekiti, and also the victim’s private home teacher, and after the assault, the girl experienced pains after urinating and confessed to her mother what her teacher did to her.

Condemning the act, Judge Abodunde berated Akinyemi:

“I am convinced that the prosecution has proved that the accused sexually abused and exploited the child. Teachers are supposed to be destiny helpers and shapers not destroyers.

I am of the view that the accused is guilty of sexually abusing and exploiting the nine-year-old girl. He is accordingly convicted and sentenced to seven years imprisonment. This would send a strong message across board that sexual offence against the child is not permitted.”

Man Defiles His 11 Year Old daughter In Benue

A middle-aged man (names withheld) has been arrested and arraigned before a Makurdi Court for allegedly having sexual intercourse with his 11-year-old daughter.

It was learnt that the accused was arrested a few days ago after allegedly engaging the girl in days of repeated sexual abuse whenever his wife was away from home.

He was, however, caught in the act by a neighbour, who heard the cry of the girl, while she was allegedly being sexually abused, in one of his escapades.

The neighbour was said to have called the attention of his wife to the development. She examined her daughter and, convinced that she had been defiled, reported the matter to the police.

At the hearing yesterday, police prosecutor, Inspector Hyacinth Gbakun, told the court that the accused contravened Section 91 of the Penal Code and the laws of Benue State.

However, no plea was taken for want of jurisdiction, but the prosecuting officer asked for an adjournment to allow the police carry out further investigations.

In her ruling, the presiding judge, Mrs. Cecilia Bakara, ordered that the accused be remanded at Makurdi Federal Prison and adjourned the case to September 29.

Baboon Rapes Female Teachers, Steals Their Panties

Female teachers and students at a Zimbabwean Primary School has fled from the institution claiming that a mysterious baboon sexually abuses them at night.

Sources at the school who cannot be named for professional reasons said female members of staff would wake up without their underwear or with signs that they had sex overnight.


"One of the teachers said she woke up towards midnight on July 10 and saw a man with a baboon in her room. She said she screamed and the two disappeared through a wall" said a source.

A villager, Samson Ncube, 70, said other teachers rushed to her room and when they heard her story, they called for an emergency meeting with village elders.

Ncube said the meeting was held on Saturday July 11 and the teachers said they would not spend another night at the school. "They said they were being sexually abused by the baboon. Everyone's story came out with some saying they had been afraid to speak out because they weren't sure of what was going on," he said.

Lessons for the 439 pupils have been suspended as only the headmaster, Mandlenkosi Maqeda, and two male teachers have remained.

They said 10 female teachers fled after the baboon, suspected to be a goblin, had been terrorising them for a month.

Tsholotsho district education officer Kelvin Mathe said the matter was under investigation.

He, however, declined to give details and referred questions to the Matabeleland North provincial education director Boithatelo Mnguni.

"We got a report from the school about a troublesome baboon and we're still investigating," said Mathe.

Mnguni could not be reached for comment.

According to villagers, the baboon has been appearing at the school for the past one month and a number of meetings have been held at the school to try and bring a solution to the disturbances.

"The baboon has been appearing at the school since June and it has scared off female teachers. The teachers first saw strange foot prints at the school and called villagers, who were also not familiar with the prints.

"A few days later, one of the teachers saw the baboon outside a classroom while she was teaching. She rushed to call the other teachers but the baboon disappeared. We thought it was a petty issue until the female teachers started telling us that the baboon was sexually abusing them while they were sleeping," said the headman, Qhelile Mkhwananzi.

He said the community was yet to come up with a solution to the problem.

Villager Melitha Dube said it was a strange incident that had brought fear within the community.

"We've heard reports about the baboon for weeks now and we were called to a meeting after most of the female teachers abandoned the school. Unfortunately there was no clear solution to the problem. Some villagers have, however, suggested that we should hold prayers while we think of a solution," said Dube.

An elderly villager, Vusumuzi Sibanda, said he was shocked to see the baboon spoor as he had never seen one in the area before.

"This isn't an area for baboons. I was born here 72 years ago and I've never seen baboons here. I strongly suspect that this could be the works of witchcraft by some evil people and it calls for serious investigation," said Sibanda.

"The whole community has no idea how to solve this problem because it's something strange to us. It's unfortunate that some teachers have decided to abandon the pupils and they're missing their lessons."

Neighbour Rapes Two-Year-Old Girl In Lagos

One Kehinde Paul who allegedly raped a two-year-old girl, has been arraigned before the Lagos State High Court in Ikeja.

The mother of the victim, Mrs. Mercy Ofaghae gave her evidence in court as the prosecution first witness, and narrated how her neighbour, Kehinde raped her daughter.

The complainant was said to have first reported the matter on January 13, a day after the incident occurred.

Mrs Mercy said, “That fateful night, my daughter was running temperature as a result of teething. I called my neighbour and friend, Mrs. Layode Paul, the wife of the accused, who brought paracetamol for my daughter and advised me to bathe her. This was 3 weeks after my husband travelled out of the country, precisely on the 12th of January.”

“I waited till the next morning to study her reaction to the drug but it didn’t suppress her temperature, so I decided to go out to get another form of medication for my daughter. I left my daughter with my neighbour’s husband, the accused, because the wife had gone to the salon.

“When I got back home with the drug, Mr. Kehinde’s door was locked and after knocking, I had to wait for about an hour before he opened the door; he claimed he was in the bathroom. When he eventually did, I took my daughter to our apartment and I took off her clothes to bath her before administering the drug,” she added.

“I screamed when I wanted to remove her pants as I noticed sperm on it. Neighbours rushed into my apartment to see what the matter was. The defendant was also among those who came in and he asked me if I was accusing him of raping my daughter. At that point, another neighbour slapped him, saying the defendant had finally exposed himself,” the woman said.

The victim’s mother said the two-year-old was rushed to a hospital and after being tested, the doctor confirmed that she was sexually abused.

Mrs Mercy went further to say she was astonished when she realized what her neighbour’s husband had done to her 2-year-old baby.

“Though his family members begged me not to disclose the shameful act, it seemed my daughter was not the first victim because the defendant’s brother confirmed this,” she said.

Although Kehinde pleaded not guilty, he was ordered to be remanded in prison custody.
