US officials say Jonathan's minister stole $6bn – Oshiomhole

Edo state governor, Adams Oshiomole has alleged that a minister that served in former president Jonathan's administration stole a whooping $6billion. Governor Oshiomole made the allegation while speaking to state house correspondents after a meeting with President Buhari today.

He said American officials made the alleged fraud known to the Buhari led delegation during the state visit to the US last week.



"PDP destroyed the country. I mean from the lips of American officials; senior officials of the state department. They said one minister under PDP cornered as much as $6billion, and the man said even by Washington standard that is earth-quaking,” he said.

Governor Oshiomole said if not that Nigerians are patient people, anybody who carried the PDP badge would have been stoned. He said PDP members ought to feel very unsafe ...

"We are a very patient people. If we were not a patient people, anybody wearing the tag of PDP ought to feel very unsafe because you are all victims- all of us here,” he said.

EFCC Set To Probe GEJ, Oduah, Iweala And Diezani

The Economic and Financial Crimes Commission is set to commence the probe of the former President Goodluck Jonathan with investigations into the financial transactions of his ministers and aides.

The prime targets includes, Senator Stella Oduah, Diezani Allison Madueke, Ngozi Okonjo Iweala etc

Punch reports that the Chairman of the commission, Ibrahim Lamorde, had already directed that all petitions against former public officers at the federal level should be forwarded to him to be acted upon.

Report has it that former ministers, special advisers, heads of parastatals and those of other Federal Government agencies would be invited for interrogation by the EFCC in few weeks from now.

The anti-graft agency would focus on those whose establishments attracted huge allocations from the Federal Government when Jonathan was in power.

Those ministries and agencies included defence, petroleum resources and power.
