Nigeria youth international, Kelechi Iheanacho has revealed that he had a ‘very good’ pre-season with Manchester City.
The 18-year-old was on target for City in their 4-2 defeat to Stuttgart on Saturday at the Mercedes-Benz Arena.
And he has exuded sureness in his performance in the pre-season where he featured in five games and also provided two goals and two assists.
"I thank God for my performance, it's a very good performance in pre-season," he told City TV.
"We've played six games, I've played in five games and I have two goals and two assists, so it's a very good performance for me and I'm happy with the performance."
"It's a tough game against a strong team [Stuttgart], so it was a very difficult game but we shouldn't have lost,” he added.
"Because we are the big team, quality players are playing but it's the game, you can lose or win.
"I composed myself, I scored the goal, we needed more goals in the second-half but we couldn't score as much.
"But I was happy to score in this game,” he concluded.
Iheanacho could feature prominently in Manuel Pellegrini’s squad in the new season after Stevan Jovetic joined Inter Milan with Edin Dzeko on the verge of completing his move to AS Roma.
